You are a Best-Selling Author of several books. I found your book title, “Aspire To Inspire: Fix Your Crown” to be interesting. What is your book “Aspire To Inspire: Fix Your Crown” about and the reason you wrote it?
"Aspire To Inspire: Fix Your Crown" is a book close to my heart, born out of a deep understanding of the importance of self-love and personal development. In a world where external validation often takes precedence, I felt compelled to write a book that not only empowers women to inspire others but also prioritizes their own self-care and confidence.
The book serves as a guide to cultivating self-love, confidence, and personal growth, emphasizing the importance of putting oneself first. It encourages readers to fill their own cups before pouring into others, acknowledging that self-care is essential for overall well-being.
While "Aspire To Inspire" is not a replacement for professional mental health treatment, it serves as a supportive resource, offering exercises and advice to help readers navigate challenges such as body image issues, unhealthy relationships, and the journey towards self-discovery.
Through the book, readers will discover how to embrace authenticity, practice self-compassion, and unleash their true potential. It covers topics ranging from finding passion and embracing feminine energy to mastering leadership and fostering meaningful connections.
Ultimately, "Aspire To Inspire: Fix Your Crown" aims to empower women to lead fulfilling lives filled with purpose and confidence, reminding them that they are worthy of love, respect, and success. It's a book designed to uplift and inspire, encouraging readers to embrace their uniqueness and shine brightly in their own right.
As a Best-Selling Author of some inspirational and educational children’s books. Tell the readers about a few of your children’s books. Also, what inspired you to write each book?
Absolutely, I'd be delighted to share insights into a few of my inspirational and educational children's books, along with the inspiration behind each one:
1. "Ameka and Her Magical Crown: Coloring Book of Affirmations" (2023):
This coloring book of affirmations is a celebration of self-love and empowerment, inspired by the desire to nurture children's inner strength and confidence. Through enchanting illustrations and uplifting words of affirmation, readers are invited to embark on a journey of creativity and positivity. The inspiration behind this book stemmed from a deep belief in the power of self-belief and the importance of instilling confidence in young minds from an early age. By embracing their uniqueness and radiating positivity, children can unlock their incredible potential and shine brightly in their own right.
2. "Who Said You Can Touch My Hair?" (Multilingual Edition):
This multilingual story addresses the sensitive topic of touching a Black girl's hair with humor and wit, aiming to enlighten and educate both children and adults on the importance of respect and understanding. Inspired by real-life experiences and conversations surrounding cultural boundaries and personal space, the book seeks to empower Black girls and foster a sense of agency over their bodies. By teaching others the significance of respecting personal boundaries and refraining from objectifying compliments, the book promotes empathy and respect for diversity.
3. "A Promised Deferred: The Massacre of Black Wall Street":
This captivating story transports readers to the vibrant Black business district of Tulsa, Oklahoma, known as Black Wall Street, and recounts the tragic events of the 1921 massacre. Inspired by a desire to shed light on this overlooked chapter of history and honor the resilience and entrepreneurship of the Black community, the book serves as a testament to the power of unity and support. By sharing this important story with young readers, the book aims to inspire future generations to embrace their heritage, advocate for social justice, and strive for economic empowerment.
Each of these books is a testament to my commitment to creating literature that not only entertains but also educates, empowers, and fosters empathy and understanding among young readers.

Dr. Tamecca Rogers, you are a filmmaker who produced and directed your documentary, “CROWN.” Congratulations on all your great work in the film industry. Please tell the readers about this powerful documentary “CROWN.”
Thank you for your kind words. "CROWN" is a documentary that holds a deeply personal significance for me. It sheds light on the pervasive issue of racial-based hair discrimination in schools and workplaces, aiming to spark crucial conversations and advocate for change. The film highlights the experiences of individuals who have faced discrimination due to their natural hair textures and styles, exploring the emotional and psychological toll of such biases.
Through intimate interviews and compelling narratives, "CROWN" delves into the complexities of identity, self-expression, and cultural heritage. It challenges societal norms and calls attention to the systemic barriers that perpetuate discrimination, urging viewers to confront their own biases and strive for inclusivity and equity.
One of the central themes of "CROWN" is the importance of passing legislation like the CROWN Act, which aims to prevent discrimination based on hairstyles and textures associated with race. By amplifying the voices of those affected and advocating for policy change, the documentary serves as a catalyst for social justice and empowerment.
Ultimately, "CROWN" is a testament to the resilience and strength of individuals who refuse to be silenced or marginalized. It's a powerful reminder of the importance of embracing diversity and celebrating the beauty of natural hair in all its forms. As a filmmaker, I'm honored to have had the opportunity to share this important story and contribute to the ongoing dialogue surrounding racial equity and inclusion.
