Since debuting in the top series “Metro,” Leslie Black had a goal to change the acting game and she’s doing just that.
A graduate of South Carolina State University, Leslie moved to Atlanta after school to pursue her career. She is a seasoned, trained actor and has the unique ability to tap into each character she takes on. Whether she’s playing a boss lady or a slave, Leslie is always going to make her roles memorable and breathe life into each scene.
Leslie has guest-starred in “Chicago-Med,” played Sedi in the television movie “Montross Blood Rules,” and will be the lead in the upcoming feature film “The Perfect Love Storm.” In addition to working alongside Aaron Eckhart in “Muzzle,” as Councilwoman Priscilla Cross she is starring in the BET+ feature film “For What It’s Worth”. Most recently she can be seen in the lifetime feature film Miss Cleo: Her Rise and Fall playing the role of Ila and she is also recurring Will Packers mini-series “Fight Night” as Wanda.
Leslie continues to raise the bar and make waves with her top-tier artistry. On top of her host of projects slated for release, she has added producer and writer to her resume. Last year, she produced and starred in the suspenseful short film “Mommas,” and she has done the same for “Celia’s Cabin,” which is set for a 2024 debut. Leslie has launched her own groundbreaking production company called Staunch Films.
