Thank you for being featured in Growth Women’s Business Networks Magazine. Please introduce and tell the readers about yourself.
I am a servant of Jesus Christ, a wife, mother, and serial entrepreneur. I served our country proudly in the United States Navy for 21.7 years. Once I retired in 2013, I embarked on a journey to be a business owner. I am the Founder and CEO of Inspirationally Speaking, LLC as well as my nonprofit organization, Unstoppable You Ministries, Inc. I love seeing people at their best. If I can come alongside and support their endeavors with my skills and talents, that brings me joy.
Ms. Foxworthy, Thank you for your service. As a retired U. S. Navy Veteran who embodies the Navy core values of "Honor, Courage, and Commitment." How did it help you to develop the F.I.T Mindset?
In order to have a Focused Intentional and Thriving Mindset, I needed to honor myself and my goals. For far too long, I put myself on the backburner and was most times a people pleaser. It takes courage to step out on faith and pursue purpose with passion. Many times, I had naysayers or people who didn’t understand my journey. I had to overcome that discouragement by having courage in my abilities. Last but not least, I needed to be committed to my goals. I am committed to living life with no regrets while making a difference in this world.

Ms. Foxworthy, you an author of the book, "Tomorrow, My Sunshine Will Come? What is your book about and the reason you wrote it?
Tomorrow My Sunshine Will Come: Memoirs of Women Who Survived Domestic Violence was originally supposed to be my story of being in poor relationships that served no positive purpose. I felt alone with guilt and shame as my best friends. But once I retired from the military and started sharing what I had experienced, I had friends that shared they too had experienced domestic violence. I was so surprised because I thought I was the only one who had low self-esteem to stay in such abusive and toxic relationships. The more I gained courage and strength to share my story, the more others came forward. It’s empowering when survivors come together. There is strength in numbers. My book highlights the stories of six women who had the courage to share their story. Although it wasn’t planned to be this way, but five of the six women had experienced their abuse while serving in the military. I want people to know that our military men and women deal with intimate partner violence, however due to the nature of our job, we suffer in silence.
Where can the readers purchase a copy of your book?
If your readers are looking for a great book that is based off of a series of true stories, they can purchase my book from my website, https://inspirationallyspeaking.com/publication/. Once I receive their order, I mail an autographed copy to them. My book can also be purchased on most major online retailers to include Amazon. My book is available in paperback and e-book. I am so honored to have had book clubs, lawyers, counselors, domestic violence advocates, survivors, and family members as well as friends read and recommend my book.
As an advocate for women who have experienced domestic violence. What advice would you give to women who are struggling to get out of an abusive relationship?
I would share with anyone struggling to get out of an abusive relationship to know that it is very rare that things get better. I encourage the women to create a plan to leave and only talk to a few trusted people. It takes a victim of domestic violence six to seven times to find the courage to finally leave. It’s not until a person is sick and tired of being sick and tired that they make up their minds to leave. Overall, they must know and believe that they are worthy of being loved and appreciated, not mistreated.
Do you have any other upcoming conferences, events, or workshops?
Currently, my Unstoppable You Conference is on a three-state tour. We hosted the conference in Bowie, Maryland in March, next is Jacksonville, Florida on September 14th, and then we will wrap up the tour in my hometown, York, Pennsylvania on November 2nd. In addition to my conferences, I am scheduled to give a keynote at a Teen Summit, as well as a conference, both are in October. Overall, there are nine conferences, workshops, and keynote presentations that I have scheduled from September through December.
Give us some words to educate, inspire, and encourage women and the readers of Growth Women’s Business Networks Magazine.
I want to share with your readers to be mindful of their wellbeing. You can’t pour from an empty cup. Many times, we suffer and don’t speak up for the things we need or want. A closed mouth won’t get fed and a closed fist can’t receive. So, it is important to use our voice to speak up and speak out. Every relationship you have will benefit from you being Focused, Intentional, and Thriving!
